Ladoo-Indian Traditional Sweet
Ladoos are Indian traditional sweets made up of various ingredients. The main ingredients are flour, sugar, ghee, dry fruits etc.
It's believed in the olden days that, Ladoos were used as an antiseptic which was discovered by Dr.Susruta an Ancient Indian Physician in the 4th century BC.
There are varieties of ladoos. Some famous ladoos are

Let's see some ladoos in detail.
1. Besan ke Ladoo
Besan ke Ladoo is also known as Gram flour Ladoo. It is made of gram flour, sugar or jaggery, ghee, cardamom, roasted almonds cashew nuts etc. Besan ke Ladoo can provide a good amount of protein, and folic acid which helps in boosting iron levels in our body.
How to make Besan ke Ladoo
Take a heavy bottom pan add ghee and heat it on low flame. Once the ghee melts add Besan (Gram Flour) and mix well and break the lumps. Stir continuously and cook it for 10-20 minutes till it turns to light golden brown.
when the mixture turns to a light golden brown colour, turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool down. Meanwhile, add sugar or jaggery and cardamom into the blender and make a fine powder.
Heat ghee in a pan on medium flame, add nuts and roast them. After roasting turn off the flame and keep the roasted nuts aside.
when the mixture (ghee and besan) is cooled down add the sugar cardamom powder, and roasted nuts and mix well. Now, Take a small portion of the mixture in your hand and make spherical round balls. Garnish with nuts.
2. Motichoor Ladoo
This Indian Dessert is very popular and is made with gram flour. The name motichoor is called to it as the laddoo is made of granules that are small and even size and resemble a pearl. Generally, motichoor laddoo is orange colour because of the orange food colour, but usually without using food colour, it is slightly yellowish orange. This laddoo is offered to gods during festivals which is considered a good gesture and a part of Indian traditions.
3. Rava Ladoo
Rava Laddoo is known to be a most underrated laddoo, but very few know that it tastes good when it's combined with dry fruits with a mix of ghee. It is also called Sooji ladoo and in some parts of India, it is usually mixed with coconut. Usually, Indian families often prepare this laddoo to send to relatives or any family member who is residing outside of their home for many days.
